WHY THIS IS HAPPENING...
Square is no stranger to making bold moves from accepting Bitcoin to allowing CBD sales. Now, CEO Jack Dorsey says it's time to take Robinhood's customers help its users build wealth one fractional share at a time. With everybody and they mama being interested in trading and all the major brokers like Charles Schwab (NYSE: SCHW) and TD Ameritrade (NASDAQ: AMTD) going to $0 commissions, Square sees this as an opportunity to expand and show the world that just like Desus and Mero...
The brand is strong.
Robinhood started this no-fee investing trend years ago and everybody is finally catching up but that doesn't go over well for the Hood as its user base is nowhere near some of these other platforms which could hurt its growth. Robinhood has over 6 million users while Square's Cash App is living its best life with 2.5 times that at over 15 million monthly active users.
Square stock is up 2% this year.

Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic might as well be butter baby because it's on a roll.
WHY THIS IS HAPPENING...
It's only been days since Virgin Galactic announced it's situationship with Under Armour (NYSE: UA/UAA) to make the flyest space travel gear around and now the company wants to make you a boss. The company has completed its merger with Social Capital (NYSE: IPOA), a company owned by one of the Golden State Warriors owners, Chamath Palihapitiya, in which Social Capital will take 49% ownership while Branson will still call the shots with 51% ownership.
This means that Virgin Galactic will instantly become a publicly trading company listed on the New York Stock Exchange come Monday and will trade under new stock symbol 'SPCE'. This will make Virgin Galactic the first-ever human spaceflight company to be publicly traded.
Virgin Galactic focuses on space tourism and owns a spacecraft that can carry 8 people (including 2 pilots) to space. Here's how the trip works:
The spaceship is dropped from a jet-powered aircraft and uses a rocket motor to travel 3 times the speed of sound as it climbs through Earth’s atmosphere.
It then floats weightlessly for a few minutes before gliding back down to land on Earth just like a regular plane.
Now, even though this sounds out of this world, so is the price. The cost of this staycation is gonna run you $250K per person so I wouldn't be surprised if most passengers are in the Billionaire Boy's Club.
