Don Toliver - "Run Up"

REMEMBER WHEN I SAID...

Can’t Yelp (NYSE: YELP) but wait in Issue 86 talking about how the company is finally getting to the money?

Well, it looks Like Groupon (NASDAQ: GRPN) caught wind and is ready to shoot the moon, high jump the broom with the the business directory and review platform but investors are saying...

"Too soon! Don't do it! Reconsider, read some liter-"

UGK - "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You)"

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING...

It's no secret that Groupon offers daily-deals and Yelp lets consumers pump or dump, through written reviews, those same companies with which they bought those daily-deals from. You would think it's like when Bey and Jay joined forces but investors have been on the run for a while and the announcement got'em like "Now you wanna say you're sorry." When Groupon had it's first pop-up shop in the market back in 2011, the company was valued at over $16B, now it's not even worth $2B with a current share price that can barely buy anything on McDonald's (NYSE: MCD) or Wendy's (NASDAQ: WEN) value menu.

THE RETURN...

Groupon's stock is down 11% this year.

FOR THE NEWB IN YOU...

Groupon's "pop-up shop" was actually its IPO. Not sure what an IPO is? Check out Issue 85 or watch this video comparing IPOs to mixtapes.

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING...

Whole Foods has almost 100K employees and about 2K are going to lose their medical coverage to "better meet the needs of the business." This applies to part-time workers only that work at least 20 hours a week while full-time works, who work at least 30 hours a week, won't be affected.

THE RETURN...
