THIS THE SUGAR HONEY ICED TEA I'M TALKIN' BOUT...

And I ain't clownin' around.

Warner Bros., a subsidiary of AT&T (NYSE: T), just released It: Chapter Two and man was it the sugar honey iced tea at the box office this past weekend.

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING...

The thriller secured a bag of $91MM in the U.S. within 3 days becoming the second-highest grossing horror movie of all-time after Good Boys just became the first R-rated comedy to top the box in the past 3 years (read more about this in Issue 89). Movie junkies expected it to bring in $100MM+ but with Hurricane Dorian bein' extra wavy and a movie run time of almost 3 hours, ticket sellers fell asleep before it could reach 9-figures. Second-place was previously held by Halloween which was released last year. Want to know something hella crazy? It part one which came out in 2017 is highest grossing horror movie on opening weekend bringing in $123MM.

THE RETURN...

AT&T's stock is up almost 23% so far this year.

I KNOW WHEN THAT HOTLINE BLING...

That can only mean one thing.

And that one thing is Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) doing a show n' tell of the new iPhone 11, among other things, which it's announcing tomorrow.

WHY THIS IS HAPPENING...

Consumers and investors are getting tired of the same old phones that break the bank so Apple is going to have to show and prove with this new model. The tea is that the camera will be better (as they always says) and that Apple Watches and AirPods can be charged using the iPhone itself (finally some of that new new). The problem is that 5G probably won't be supported on the phone so all these "extras" may be for not. In addition, the deets on Apple TV+ (streaming service) and Apple Arcade (gaming service) are expected to see the light of day too.

THE RETURN...

Apple's stock is up 35% so far this year.

FOR THE NEWB IN YOU...

Nothing to see here.
